About this Product
This is a beautiful pair of handmade gemstone earrings made with natural amethyst beads, Swarovski pearls and 14K gold filled wire that are wrapped with a herringbone pattern. The purple amethyst ovals are beautifully complemented by the gleaming ivory pearls. They are 1 1/2 inches long from the top of the handmade gold filled ear wires by about 5/8 inch wide.

How it’s Made
I made these earring by first hammering the ends of 22 gauge Gold Filled wire to create head pins. Then I added the faceted Amethyst oval beads. Next, I wire wrapped 26 gauge Gold Filled wire around the Amethysts making the herringbone pattern, using the Swarovski pearls for the last wrap. Then I finished the top of the Gold Filled head pin with a wire wrapped loop. I made the shepherd's hook ear wires using 20 gauge 14K Gold Filled wire and secured the Amethyst and Pearl drops to the ear wires.
