About this Product
Ancient Ritual, print.
In Gaelic and other ancient northern cultures, bonfires were thought to be the light that kept evil spirits away during this time of year when the veils were lowered, or easier to cross over or through. I also learned that this is why bats are a common part of halloween lore, as the light from the #samhain bonfires would attract them.
The bonfires brought tradition, but also a sense of safety.
I illustrated a Samhain fire goddess, protecting the coven from the spirits with the setting being an Irish ritual site, Drombeg Stone Circle.

Hello Friends!
My name is Lauren, I am an artist.
I studied studio art from 2012 - 2014 in college but have been practicing and creating since I was small, and I'm sure many of my past lives as well. ;)
When I create I am still, and comfortable while simultaneously at the edge of a cliff, full of joy, uncertainty, excitement, just oozing possibility. Art is presence.
Everything I create represents an experience, a vision/idea , a reflection of who I am or how I saw the world in that moment.
Most recently, I have been inspired by the human body, the female form, mindfulness/meditation, the human experience, and the beauty of nature that always surrounds us.
I am enjoying experimenting with size, medium, color, texture, as well as canvas (I often use recycled materials that inspire me). Every piece is different from the last as I let spirit guide me.
I would love to hear from you. Subscribe or follow to keep up on my projects!
Please let me know what you think of my work, if you have an interest in a commissioned piece, a collab, or if you have any questions.
xoxo
