About this Product
Colorful Fish on a "Peaceful Reef" "Shredded Style" Rag Quilt PATTERN to make a large 54" x 74" for your beach home! 3D, Fluffy & Easy! This Special Rag Quilt combines my two passions, fishing and quilting! Once only available as an exclusive quilt for a local Art Gallery, Now I am sharing it with you! This is definitely not your ordinary rag quilt!
Please use FLANNEL FABRIC ONLY FOR THIS ITSSEWSALLY PATTERN & SHREDDING TECHNIQUE! Regular cotton fabrics are too lightweight & Knits like Minky or fleece are slippery, will not “shred” and they will not work with” itssewsally shredded style” quilt patterns!
SKILL: INTERMEDIATE LEVEL
YOU CAN DO THIS, AND I WILL TEACH YOU HOW!
This new "shredded" quilting technique is FUN!
You will find this 14 page, DIGITAL PDF pattern is crammed full to help the beginner and guide the expert, along with lots of close-up photos, diagrams. Two columns of information with images on each page, no wasted paper and lots of useful information, hints, and tips! (And to answer that question, NO, we do not sew strips of fabric in a circle, it's SO much easier than that)!!
8 EASY TO PRINT FULL-SIZE APPLIQUE AND BLOCK TEMPLATES INCLUDED.
Why I love this technique:
No Constant ironing! (You could make this quilt if you didn't own an iron)!
No fussy seam allowances, ½ inch throughout! (Leave that “scant” ¼” behind for this quilt)!
No critical alignment or stitching of the appliques! Close is ok, you’re going to clip and shred them!
No fussy applique edge stitching!
This quilt allows you to be creative!!
Shredding is a huge stress buster!
A little “wonky” might even help this “shabby chic’ish” quilt, it was created to have a soft and relaxed finished look.
