About this Product
This piece was inspired by a visit to the Upper Peninsula Michigan. The Crisp Point Lighthouse stands on a lonely, difficult-to-access area of the coast of Lake Superior. I wanted this painting to portray the almost cheerful calm of the summer day on which I was there. The good weather belies the hardships that it takes to live a life that provides some measure of security to those working out on the waters. I used bright light falling on the white of the building to represent hope in the face of the constant threat of the clouds growing in the distance.
ofThis is an original, one-of-a-kind acrylic painting by me, from a photo taken of the Crisp Point Lighthouse on the shore on Lake Superior. It is painted on an 16" x 20" stretched canvas, and finished with varnish to keep it safe from fading due to UVA rays.
It will be shipped unframed in a cardboard box, and carefully protected with bubble wrap.
Please feel free to contact me if you have a subject you'd like me to paint. I'm always happy to work on custom orders!

Meet the Maker
I have been making art of some sort ever since I was born, I think. I decided at 5 years old that I was going to be a full-time artist. Now I'm fulfilling that dream, and you can reap the fruits of my labors!
