About this Product
From a New Earth Designs pattern, I hooked this floral bellpull in lavenders, pinks, roses and greens. A piece like this is shaded. . . uses narrow cut wool strips. . about 4/32" wide with each colour being in a range of values. So, it is much like painting. I used an antique black mix of colours for the background. Then, it was professional backed with a mauve material and attached to the wooden "hardware" top and bottom (not included in finished size of 8 x 48). Occasionally it was brought out and hung for a few weeks at a time in my studio. (A bell is not attached, as I had curious cats!)
Bellpulls are wonderful to hang in narrow but long wall spaces to add colour and interest. . .and do attach a bell to ring, if you want hubby to make you a cup of cocoa!

Meet the Maker
I have always been attracted by colour and artistry, and enjoy working with fiber, paints, dyes and wool. I became a rug hooker in 1971, and for over 30 years it has been my occupation. As a certified instructor, I travel several times a year to teach this art. . and for it I dye wools, design and print patterns and hook as often as I can! Here will be finished items for sale, and eventually some dyed wools as well that are currently on Etsy. And perhaps a few other items as well!
