About this Product

"Night and Day, you are the one, only you beneath the moon and under the sun..." - "Night and Day", Cole Porter This 80% superwash merino wool/20% nylon hand-dyed fingering weight yarn features blues and aquas and whites that pop out amidst more muted shades of gray and black. NEW: I now offer a tube-cranking service for sock yarn: Your yarn will come to you cranked into one long stockinette tube. All you need to do is add cuffs, toes and afterthought heels and voila! A pair of socks! Or else your yarn can be cranked into two equal tubes, with waste yarn knitted in where the heel will go. This option can be selected at checkout - $7.00 extra for a single tube, or $10 extra for two tubes with the afterthought heel marked. Just select the option you like and note your shoe size. *NOTE: Colors in the above pictures may vary from the actual colors of the product. I do my best to take accurate pictures, but pictures may appear different on other monitors and devices, depending on the type of screen and settings. *Size: 400 yds/100 g per skein. One skein should be enough to make a decent-sized scarf or cowl, many different types or patterns of shawls, or a pair of adult medium socks, although your mileage may vary. *Colors: I do my best to represent colors accurately. However, there may be some differences between colors shown on your monitor or screen and the product's true color, depending on the type and settings of your monitor or screen. If you have any questions or concerns, please send me a convo! Care: Machine wash cool (ideally on a gentle cycle) or handwash in warm soapy water. Lay flat to dry. I take great care in ensuring that my yarns are colorfast and that they are well-rinsed before shipping out, but it's possible to experience a little bit of bleeding during the first few washings as excess dye is rinsed out of the yarn. This can be influenced by the colors used (red and blue are common culprits) and by the hardness of your washing water. If the bleeding is excessive or persists after more than a few washings, let me know. *Dyeing Process: All my yarns are commercially-milled and hand-dyed by me in my tiny kitchen using acid dyes. My studio (well, my apartment, let's not get too precious here) is smoke-free and I process my yarns with fragrance-free detergents. I do have a cat; although he's more of a silent partner and although I wash everything thoroughly and keep product stored in a secure location, I can't guarantee that my products will be allergen-free for folks who are allergic to cat dander. Feel free to convo me if you have any questions.
