Well Hello there Wuba loves!

I guess this is where I tell you a little bit about myself.

Hi, my name is Melissa. I am wonderfully and beautifully created and so are you! Well, let me tell you how I got started in the making of soap! My grandmother was looking for someone to learn her business. Lo and behold, I came to her mind. She called me up, I drove three hours to learn the amazing art of soapmaking! As soon as the oils started swirling, I was hooked! I dallied in it for years selling here and there. Then last year I wanted to make something more with WubaLife. So, here I am moving forward with my dream. Yes, I have fallen a lot. But, I always get up and begin again. And truly, I'm having a blast doing this!

Fun fact: Wuba is Swahili and means, 'I saw Beauty'. So my rough translation for WubaLife is, 'I saw a beautiful life'.

Okay, so I'm an introverted coffeeaholic. I've married my dearest bestest friend and we have four adult children, with our youngest at 23. I'm dearly in love with my cat Sebastian! He has Cerebellar Hypoplaysia, twisted leg syndrome (mostly corrected) and a huge heart. Everyday he makes us laugh!! I'm also learning the piano at 49! Say what?? Yes, I totally am!

I always thought when I neared 50 things would slow down. But you know what? I feel like I've just woken up to this amazing dream and that dream is starting new right before my eyes!

Ten percent of all proceeds go to: sonshine children's home. Sonshine gives kids a chance at life, a chance to be part of a family, a chance to find new friends. We bring kids hope,  we comfort their broken hearts, we restore their health, we provide them a quality education, we demonstrate love. One Person Can Make a Difference ~excerpt from Sonshine Ministries: 'Sonshine ministries was founded to care for children left parentless by the HIV/AIDS pandemic, we bring hope to the sick, the lost, and the forgotten. Starting with a vision and not much more, Sonshine has grown to 15 acres, 4 children’s homes, a dining hall, visitors home, school class rooms, dairy and farm operations and much more. We provide a safe home for abandoned, abused, orphaned children of Tanzania.' I have personally met Ray and Melody Schumacher (they are the founders) and they are truly a wonderful couple who earnestly love their mission and the children they care for. Sponsor a child today! Three of my friends and myself sponsor a little boy together. He is so precious! We can send cards and gifts to him and totally visit!

WubaLife is based on this scripture:

For you reach into my heart. With one flash of your eyes I am undone by your love, my beloved, my equal, my bride. You leave me breathless— I am overcome by merely a glance from your worshiping eyes, for you have stolen my heart. I am held hostage by your love and by the graces of righteousness shining upon you. ~Song of Songs 4:9
