It all began with a keychain in the summer of 2015. Actually the keychain was for a whole different business I was trying to startup, and I wanted a promo item that wasn't a cup, a pen, or the everyday magnet. I wanted something different because I'm different. So I googled (that's so not a word but it still sounds good) promo business items and a friend suggested a keychain. After thinking about it, I started looking at different images of keychains and one image stuck out. Yep you guessed it...a paracord key fob! I was like "oh what is this little thing?" and so my intrigue went into overdrive and I clicked on it, stared at it, and thought to myself "How did they make this? Wait what is paracord?" All kinds of questions popped into my head. So I met up with my best friend YouTube and watched a couple videos. "Oh I can make that it looks cool." Of course I ran out to the craft store to get a hank of this cord and long story short, in half an hour 10 keychains were made. I was so proud of myself. The friend of mine that suggested keychain got one as a thank you gift for suggesting the idea. She had a craft event that following weekend and I assisted with vending. At the event a random customer came to the booth and asked where did I get my keychain. I told him I made it. We chatted for a bit and he asked if I made anything else. I told him I could make other things but that this was something I just threw together. He told me I should sell them. I didn't really think about it that second, but after I got home after the event (which was a success for her) I jumped on the computer and typed in paracord. Images of various uniquely skilled products were staged right before my eyes and I was in total awe. At that point I told myself I was gonna learn to make other things (after all I did already tell the guy I knew how). Needless to say, keychains became bracelets, lanyards, belts, dog collars and leashes, and jeep handles. I can honestly say I LOVE the feedback I get from something I created with my own hands...learning how to measure, how to put colors together, different styles, and just an appreciation for the many uses of the cord. I thank God for giving me direction to a passion unforeseen and a hunger for success...now fed. I appreciate you stopping by my shop and feel free to browse and contact me with questions you may have.
