I’m Avery, the creator of the San Francisco Parks Passport. Parks and playgrounds have been central to my life - in fact, I’m named for the park my parents were married in! When I became a mom at the start of the pandemic, parks and playgrounds became my lifeline. I created the San Francisco Parks Passport for parents like me who find themselves at the same playground daily or weekly. The passport was designed to push you to experience parks all over our wonderful city. My dream is that you create lasting family memories on your mission to visit all 50 parks in this guide.
I had a little help from my family. We are a grandmother, mother, daughter trio who spent the pandemic falling in love with San Francisco’s parks and playgrounds.
We've put in the legwork to map out the city's best parks and combine them into a fun and interactive "passport" for you and your children/grandchildren to explore the city and get out of your rut of going to the same playground week after week. There's enough playgrounds to keep you busy every weekend for an entire year!
