Here are some things to consider when choosing regular or extra warm: ~Will your car be warm when you put your child in his/her car seat? ~Do you plan to wear the poncho on your child only in the car or for other outdoor activities? ~Does your child tend to get too warm quickly or does your child mind the cold? These ponchos for older/taller children are shaped differently, but will still work in a car seat.
