How it’s Made
This necklace is made with the chainmaille
technique called shaggy loop. The base is made with hand cut jump rings
woven into a chain.
After the chain has been assembled crystals,
seed beads, and other beads are added to the chain
with
head pins and eye pins to give the "shaggy loop"
appearance.
Chainmaille is very similar to beadweaving -
the main difference being that instead of weaving with needle, thread, and
beads you weave the jump rings in various ways. Using different weaving
techniques produces many gorgeous effects.
