For the last 8 years I have been stay at home mom of our now 15 yr old son...
I used to work full time in retail management, specializing in merchandising. But then my son got sick... and, between doctor visits, hospital stays & not being able to make it to school... the decision was made that I would quit my job and focus taking care of him. As my sons' medical issues leveled out, it was time for something for me...
I have always been a lover of crafts and being creative. I have dabbled in many forms of creative outlets- dried flowers, decoupage, painting, and so much more. I found a great outlet as a leader in cub scouts! Teaching kids to be creative is the best! But as my son aged out of cub scouts, I found myself needing a new outlet... so I ventured into photography, oh how I love photography... as I started to build my business, my own health issues made it difficult to continue... as I struggled with my mobility, I realized I would no longer be able to continue my photography... it was a sad day. Then I saw an ad on Facebook... it was a hand stamping kit for a movement about positivity... finding your mantra, your word of encouragement. My ever so supportive hubby said "go for it" so I did... that was 3 years ago... I launched my business on Facebook... concentrated on vendor events (with set up help from my husband and son), and here we are... I have worked hard to improve my skills, upgrade my tools & supplies... and my business has evolved...
I absolutely LOVE what I do... I love the uniqueness of this medium... how you can add other mediums to a simple hand stamped item... or just keep it completely simple...
