About this Product
This handmade wood bowl is the largest I have done yet. I purchased this wood from a local Mom and Pop sawmill. The gentleman put the log in the burn pile for being too short to cut boards from. I was more than happy to take it off his hands! My very first piece of Elm was about to become a thing of beauty! I decided to go big or go home! At just shy of 10 inches, I didn't know if my lathe would hold onto it.. it suffered one minor exterior crack that was patched up with clear epoxy. The bowl was then sanded smooth and finished with my absolute favorite, pure heat treated Walnut oil. Organic and food safe, yet durable enough to be used for a catch-all. What will you use it for?

I took up woodturning shortly after becoming a father. It's become a hobby I fell in love with, and it's the reason I'm teaching my son that if you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life. I take tremendous pride in my creations and ultimately, want you to be proud to display them!
