About this Product
If you’re from the South and bleed Purple and Gold, I’ve created a treasure that’s rare to behold.
From Lake Maurepas and Lake Ponchatrain, with skillful hands each scale is stained.
Picked from Maurepas waters, a lovely design, call it a Southern gift or a true Cajun find.
Not found on store shelves or in any boutique, I’ve created the perfect gift, that’s truly unique.
Each ornament is approximately 3 inches, and the beadwork is 2 ½ inches. The Tiger Head spins so you can put it on the front, back, or either side of the beads. There is a round ring at the top so you can hang it on your tree with an ornament hook. You have the choice of two bead options.
Gar Fish Scales are extremely hard making them very unlikely to damage or break. Every scale is different, and absorbs dye different, making each ornament truly unique and one of a kind.
If you would like just a purple and gold ornament, I can make it without the tiger head.
Please message me if you need exact measurements.
I can make this in YOUR school colors, just send me a message.
The Dancin Daisy
Meet the Maker
Hey Y'all. I'm Lisa and the creator of The Dancin Daisy. Helping people has always been my passion. I was a paramedic/firefighter for 30 plus years, until I retired in 2016. I have been crafting as stress relief all of my life, and now am able to spend lots of time creating things.
Now that I don't work on an ambulance or firetruck, I have found a new passion...I love creating new items for you to enjoy!
I love the rivers, lakes, and beaches here in, and around, South Louisiana, so I have started creating items with oyster shells and fish scales. It makes me happy to create items that will make others smile and fulfills my need of "helping" by making you happy! :)
Also, whether its Diamond Painting or any kind of Needle Work - I like to create new items, embellish items, or re-purpose items for your crafting enjoyment. A lot of people tend to wear my pieces as a magnetic brooch, so they do not put holes in their expensive clothing.
I treat each piece that I create with love and care. I am able to customize most anything so don't hesitate to reach out and ask!
What an honor it is to be affiliated with goimagine.com. I can TRULY help people now! And there is nothing more rewarding to me, than helping a child in need!
So, Thank You. Thank you all for shopping small businesses and THANK YOU for being a part of the #caringeconomy and shopping on #goimagine. YOU are helping children, too! And, last but definitely not least, Thank You for visiting The Dancin' Daisy!

How it’s Made
All oyster shells are handpicked by me and come out of the Gulf of Mexico. The Gar Fish are caught in Lakes Ponchatrain and Maurepas in South Louisiana.
Fish are boiled from daylight until dark for 3 days to remove the scales.
Scales and Oyster Shells are scrubbed, washed, and rinsed numerous times and sun dried between each cleaning. They are then sanitized and sun dried.
Scales are dyed to desired color, attached to resin backing with adhesive, and sealed upon completion. If it will be used as an ornament, beads will be strung and added.
Oyster scales will have gar fish scales attached with adhesive to form a flower.
Upon item completion, all items are sealed.
***NOTE***
If they are made as a Salt and Pepper Set, all dyes, adhesives, and sealants will be Food Grade.
