Beautiful silver and gold handmade hoop earrings. Golden Mother of Pearl stick or fringe beads dangle from handmade and oxidized Silver Filled wire hoops. These earrings are 2 1/2 inches long from top of the ear wire by 3/4 inches wide. They are set with handmade Sterling Silver ear wires.

I love this color combination of the oxidized silver with the bright gold Mother of Pearl. These earrings will go with any outfit and because they are silver and gold, will go with any other precious metal jewelry. They would make a wonderful gift for holidays or birthdays.

How it’s Made
I made these earrings using 18 gauge Sterling Silver Filled wire. I formed the wire into the half-hoop shapes. Then using a chasing hammer, add added texture and strengthened them so that they would retain their shape. I added the golden Mother of Pearl stick or fringe beads, securing the Silver Filled wire through the bottom loops on the hoops. Next I oxidized the earrings in a Liver of Sulfur bath and then gently polished them to bring out the silver highlights. I made the simple shepherd's hook ear wires with 22 gauge Sterling Silver wire.
