How it’s Made
I made these brutalist earrings with 22 gauge copper sheet that I cut and filed to form the uneven marquise or leaf shape. Then I textured them with a texturing hammer to create an abstract pattern and punched a hole the top. Next I oxidized them in a liver of sulfur bath and polished them to reveal the unique, brutalist texture. Then I gave them a slightly concave or monoclastic form. I made the ear wires with 20 gauge rose gold filled wire.
