Personalized Lithophane Photo Lamp with 5 swappable lithophanes of your very own photos! You can change where each picture sits in the lamp with ease as well as purchase new lithophanes to trade out when you would like to update your photos.
These Lamps are designed to represent our United States Marine Corps with the red and gold colors. You can scan in and download your old photos if they are not digital, (please scan at highest resolution possible for best results). If you would like to use your battalion for one of the photos please add the correct logo as one of your 5 photos when uploading. If you have any questions please feel free to message!
These Lamps are equipped with a wireless, rechargeable led light that uses a USB-C (included) to charge. A remote is also included with the ability to change the light's color, brightness, style, as well as setting a timer on the light.
In our effort to help preserve the environment we do not include a USB power block with any orders as most people have many of these around the house.
Please note: the quality of the photos used will affect the final product. When possible please provide original/uncropped photos. For best results use photos with good contrast. These lithophanes are square so photos will be cropped when necessary.

How it’s Made
I design every Lamp that the Lithophanes go into in a 3D program which then is printed out on a 3D printer, cleaned, assembled and equipped with a wireless LED light! I do some light editing of each photo to achieve the best contrast quality possible before the Lithophane file is created, it is then also printed out on a 3D printer, cleaned, and inserted into the chosen lamp style.
Each lamp and lithophane are created with a 3D printer out of a material called Polylactic acid, (also known as PLA) which is a thermoplastic monomer derived from renewable, organic sources such as corn starch or sugar cane, making it both environmentally friendly as well as biodegradable.
A LITTLE HISTORY ON LITHOPHANES
A lithophane (French: lithophanie) is an etched or molded artwork in very thin translucent porcelain or plastic that can be seen clearly only when back lit with a light source.[1][2][3] It is a design or scene in intaglio that appears "en grisaille" (in gray) tones.[1][2][3]
A lithophane presents a three-dimensional image – completely different from two-dimensional engravings and daguerreotypes that are "flat".[1][2][3] The images change characteristics depending on the light source behind them.[1][2][3] Window lithophane panel scenes change throughout the day depending on the amount of sunlight.[1][2][3] The varying lightsource is what makes lithophanes more interesting to the viewer than two-dimensional pictures.[1][2][3]
The word "lithophane" derives from Greek "litho", which is from "lithos" which means stone or rock, and "phainein" meaning "to cause to appear" or "to cause to appear suddenly".[2] From this is derived a meaning for lithophane of "light in stone" or to "appear in stone" as the three-dimensional image appears suddenly when lit with a back light source.[1]
