About this Product
This is a pair of impressive light minty green prasiolite gemstone earrings with oxidized sterling silver. These handmade earrings feature large faceted prasiolite oval gemstones, prong set in sterling silver settings that dangle from sterling silver rolo chain. They are about 1 3/4 inches long from the top of the ear wires by 5/8 of an inch wide and are set with sterling silver shepherd's hook ear wires. The earrings have been oxidized and then polished to bring out the silvery highlights that complement the minty green gems. Prasiolite is a quartz gemstone sometimes known as green amethyst.

How it’s Made
I made these earrings by first setting the Prasiolite gemstones in the Sterling Silver prong settings. Then using 24 gauge Sterling Silver wire, I wire wrapped Silver chain to the Prasiolite settings. I set them with ear wires I made with 20 gauge Sterling Silver wire. Next I oxidized the earrings in a Liver of Sulfur bath, and polished them to reveal the soft grey of the silver.
