About this Product
Oh how I love this jacket. I hope you will, too. First, the design is magnificent. The paired buttonholes on the front placket and four buttons on each cuff are very unique. The denim weight is perfect. Nice job, i.e. Being one who can never leave well enough alone, or so I am told, I had to make this i.e. blazer even better. I think I knocked it out of the ball park, thus, the name.
The embellishment is a scarf. I used a bit of satin fabric and organza to create the cut flowers on the right sleeve, left shoulder, and back. The design shape in the scarf can seen on the back. The sheer fabric allows the denim to shimmer a bit. Every inch of the embellishment is hand-sewn. The jacket is partially lined so to hide the stitches.
I love this jacket. I hope you do! The blazer style is a large. See the photo for the measurements. This jacket would comfortably fit a size 12-14 woman.
TRECE Designs
Meet the Maker
Hey Y'All, I am Teresa, or Trece, to my family and friends. I count you among them!
Creativity is within us all, no matter education or age. Remember playing as a child? Spending hours making up stories and playing them out? That's creativity. My love affair with imagination began when my cousins and I would play dress-up. We were blessed with a large trunk of gorgeous and grown up dresses, hats, gloves, shoes, and jewelry - treasures from the grown-up girls we called Mom, Aunt, and Grandma. That trunk provided us with hours of creative play. I loved the large, often gaudy baubles that we draped around our necks and wrists. The clip on earrings hurt our young ears, but were essential to complete our ensembles.
I am so thankful for that trunk. It didn't need electricity or batteries. It didn't make noise or come with instructions. The contents of that trunk were both used and old, precious and beautiful. The creative playtime soothed my young soul and set a fire in my heart for finding beauty in a flat fold of fabric, in a slab of wax, in copper washers and pipe. For taking the simple form, the functionless, and creating beauty. I hope you enjoy what you see here. Come on, go ahead. Play a little dress-up of your own. It's good for the soul. Trece

How it’s Made
Rescued & Renewed Parisienne is a lovely rescued jacket by i.e. The embellishment is a scarf. I used a bit of satin fabric and organza to create the cut flowers on the right sleeve, left shoulder, and back, but the base of the design is a scarf I've had for several years. Too gorgeous to wear and too gorgeous to get rid of. So, you can see the shape of the scarf somewhat in the work on the back of the jacket. The cascading flowers on the right shoulder were cut from the perimeter of the scarf. I love this jacket. I hope you do!
