Treble Clef gift for the music lover! Musicians, band members, and singers will love this little treble clef bling!
This is a 6x6 Canvas designed in the Diamond position, to hang as is from the wooden border in back. It can also fit snugly into a small easel as the photo shows, to display nicely on your shelf or table. There is no hanger, but the piece is lightweight and can be hung from a small nail or even a thumbtack using the wooden border. The canvas is 1 inch thick.
Can also be designed in Square position.
This piece showcases a blue and white swirled canvas, dusted in a fine white and blue glitter. The treble clef is embellished with white buttons, gemstones, and flatback pearls. The musical staff is done with tiny black and clear gemstones.
Your piece can be ordered in “Square” design (rests on its bottom to sit on an easel, shelf, or hung) or in “Diamond” design where it hangs on the corner edge. The Diamond design can also sit securely on a small easel. You can also choose whatever colors you’d like to match your décor.
Each piece is uniquely created, signed and numbered on the back, with the buttons I have on hand at the time, and paint colors/strokes/variations cannot be cloned so no two are identical. If you love exactly how a piece looks as is, please note that in your order and I will get as close as I possibly can.
Any item can be personalized for free with an initial or name in a corner or near the image, usually done in tiny gemstones in clear or black.
Your order will be wrapped with care and packed in a sturdy mailer box with bubble wrap. Please allow 2-4 days for creation of your handmade item (see “How it’s Made”) and an additional 4-6 days for shipping via USPS First Class Parcel Shipping. If you need your item sooner, you can choose Priority for an additional charge.

Meet the Maker
Hi, I’m Sharla Scroggs, Texas girl, and owner of Not Your Mama’s Buttons! Little pieces of handmade art on canvas and picture frames and various other surfaces, featuring buttons, stones, gems, and beads! I’ve always been a bit of an artist, so I enjoy prepping the canvas backgrounds as much as the designs themselves. I like doing these smaller pieces, like little gems themselves. Most of my pieces are 6x6 right now, but I have added some 8x8 canvases as well as wood planks, handcut wooden crosses, bird feeders, signs, picture frames, and pretty much any surface I can bling up.
As for the canvases...my favorite medium...I use all acrylic paints on stretched canvases, and they are sold without frames, finished out all the way around the boarding, ready to hang as is or you can add your own frame if you like. I use resin, plastic, wooden, metal, and coconut buttons, whatever calls to me for that design. I also use various mosaic stones, beads, gems, and rhinestones, and sometimes sequins or wooden cutouts for a base if I don’t paint the base color. For adhesives, I use craft glue and glitter glue. I usually always add a tiny sprinkling of some type of super fine glitter to the wet paint, as I just love that iridescent sparkle.
All the items in my shop are one of a kind and made to order with the buttons I have at the time, so no two are exactly alike, but if you really like the exact look of a piece, note that in the comments to me, and I can get as close as possible.

How it’s Made
Each 6x6 canvas is prepped and painted with a particular design in mind. For example, blues and greens for a nautical design. I use oranges and reds behind a burnt umber tree for my cardinals. Black with iridescent glitter for my sun/moon combo. And sometimes I just paint…and see where it leads me.
Each piece is painted all the way around the boarding, and then dusted with the appropriate glitter while it’s wet. Then spray with ModPodge sealer. When dry, I either affix a wooden cutout of the design, or trace a stencil or pattern I’ve made for myself onto the canvas. Then the fun begins.
I have millions of buttons, in all different colors, sizes, and styles, and I sort out the colors I’ll need, along with the gems and stones that accompany it. I have a super sexy (not) headset with magnifiers because I’m old, lol, with great LED lighting, and I get to work gluing down the buttons until I’m happy with the outcome. Then I embellish where needed…..maybe a rhinestone or two here and there… and then let it sit. This whole process takes approximately two days to complete, then the glue has to cure for a minimum of 24 hours to really harden well. I then spritz with ModPodge again to seal everything and let dry. I won’t ship until the next day, when I’m sure everything has cured and dried to ship safely. Before I do, I turn it over and give it a unique NYMB number, and sign and date it.
Then it’s on its way to you!
