About this Product

This is a very special tea blend.  It is made with a blend of a rare Kenyan Purple Tea whole leaf, fruit pieces and butterfly pea flowers.  The Kenyan Purple whole leaf tea produces a delicate floral aroma, light bodied tea with notes of crisp pear and walnut.  The notes of crisp pear and walnut creates a perfect synergistic pairing with the air-dried fruits we've selected.  And to get that beautiful Very Peri color we've added the beautiful Butterfly Pea Flower.  This tea blend has a light fruity flavor without sweetening.  But if you add just a touch of honey it brings out and balances the fruity notes.

For more information about the creation of this blend be sure to visit the "How It's Made" tab.

Ingredients: kenyan purple whole leaf tea, butterfly blue pea flower, pineapple, mango, apple, rosehips*, hibiscus*, rose petals*, natural flavors (*organic)

Brewing instructions: 1 tsp / 8 oz water / 175°F / 3-4 minutes

Double the amount of tea leaves for iced tea

Teas are packaged in resealable, biodegradable rice bags. Tins may be available for purchase separately.

How it’s Made

As with all of our other teas, our Creative-Tea blend is also hand-blended using ingredients that are sourced from around the world.  Blends are given at least a week for the flavors to "mingle" prior to packaging for optimum flavor.  We strive to use organic ingredients when available.  Follow us on social media for lots of recipes and tea how-to information.

But this one is a little more special.  Each month Goimagine has a new challenge for its Makers.  This tea blend was created with the January 2022 challenge in mind.  This challenge was to create something that was inspired by PANTONE's color of the year 2022: Very Peri.  So we got right to work playing around with loose leaf teas, fruits, herbs, flavors, and florals not only to come up with a tea that had a Very Peri hue to it......but we wanted something that would inspire "creative-tea" and taste delightful.  We wanted something that would produce a cup of tea that anyone could enjoy.

We started with a new-to-us whole leaf tea: Kenyan Purple Tea.  This particular tea leaf is produced by one of the largest family-owned tea estates in Kenya (Igembe District, Meru County).  This estate grows 650 acres of tea plants, with 150 acres being dedicated to purple tea production.  Purple tea leaves comes from the same plant as all other teas (such as black, green, oolong, white, etc), Camellia sinensis. It's just a different varietal/cultivar.  And the leaves have a purple hue rather than green.  The flavor profile of Kenyan Purple Tea is lighter than a black tea and not as "grassy" as a green tea.  It is also a little lower in caffeine than green tea but slightly higher than white tea.

Since the tea leaves we have procured have notes of pear and walnut we thought it would be a perfect match pairing it with an air-dried fruit blend.  A touch of rosehips, hibiscus, and rose petals were added to round out the flavor.

While this blend was very tasty, it was not producing the Very Peri hue we desired.  So we decided to add in a bit of Butterfly Pea Flower and it was a perfect addition to create the color we were looking for.

So where did the Creative-Tea name come from?  And what makes it a creative inspiring tea blend? Tea has generally been known to help enhance ones creative flow of thoughts and ideas.  The natural combination of L-theanine and caffeine helps to decrease mental fatigue.  This in turn helps the creative mind do its job.  Hibiscus and Rosehips have historically been known to help calm down and manage stress.  And they are known as "heart" ingredients.  When we create we do so not only from the mind....but also from the heart.  And Butterfly Pea Flower is rich in antioxidants which can help reduce inflammation as well as help improve cognitive function.

While you sip on a nice cup of tea, enjoy the subtle nuance of each of the flavors and just let your mind go and the ideas flow. And know that each blend has been carefully put together with a specific synergistic quality in mind.

I am enjoying my first cup of brewed Sage Lavender White tea. What a lovely blend of white tea and botanicals. And a 2-ounce package of tea is a LOT more than it sounds. I'll be able to make at least 20 cups of tea. Good quality, fresh, nice packaging. Super maker/seller! Thanks much. ♥
