Spell books are so awesome for Halloween decorating. I took an old book, burnt the pages and then distressed it. The back of the book may or may not have anything on it depending on whether the book was blank or had a title on it. No matter though because you don't see it when displayed. The graphics i found online and printed them. Then I did the distressing process all over again. There is some Spanish moss attached in places around the book. Down the middle is a piece of distressed cheesecloth and some twigs. On one side is a spider I made from wool roving and rusted wire, and on the other is a timed black tea light. This book also has spider webbing on it to make it spookier.
As you can see, they can have different looks. I have included different pictures of ones I have made in the past.
Combine the spell book with my Halloween candles and you have a great display for your prim home.
