An amazing way to explore and display the beauty of the Solar System!
The orbit board is 18” in diameter and hand routed with 9 rings. The board is just over 1” thick wood with rounded edges. There is a nesting hole for 3 dwarf planets, and the Sun. There are multiple layers of paint and stars to make each board unique and immersive. Even a comet and the Asteroid Belt are painted on the board.
Each planet is completely hand painted with watercolors. Lots if layers, detail, even sparkle! Saturn and Uranus have rings too.
The Sun is 5” in diameter, Jupiter is 3” Saturn is 5” with the ring, Earth, Neptune, and Venus are 1 3/4”, Uranus is 3” with ring, and Mercury, Mars are 1 1/2”. The Moon, Pluto, Ceres, Eris, and Makemake are small and a choking hazard for little ones. Haumea is an egg shape!
Each will be unique, please allow for difference and slight variation as wood and paint have their own unique characteristics, knots, and grain.
Handcrafting Stories in Wood and Paint
Our Story-Crafting Process begins with a spark of inspiration from our farm, 4 kids, and homeschooling. We look to nature around us to help us choose a story and to supply the resources to craft that story. We source natural, eco, and sustainable as much as possible. We use only non toxic materials. We like to recycle packaging if possible as well. Each piece is them hand cut and meticulously shaped and hand sanded. We choose to paint each item by hand and not print on the wood. This is to keep each piece completely unique and original. The paints we choose are non toxic, some are even sourced directly from Nature herself. The finish is always simple and natural. Each piece is created with love- from our Story to become part of yours.
Care- None of our wood pieces should be used in water play or mouthed as items are intended for kids 4+. Simply clean with a lint free dry cloth as needed. Use a little Coconut Oil to polish up if needed.

Each item is made to order upon ordering. Your purchase acknowledges that it will take several weeks to create your order just for you.
Items are intended for kids 4+
I do not take returns on Made to Order items. Please message me if there is a defect with an item and I can see how I can help.
How long do I have to report a problem issue with an item?
Please message me with any issues within 48 hours of delivery to see what I can do to remedy a problem.
If an item is damaged in shipping please let me know and most likely a report will have to be filed through USPS.
If for some reason an Item an item is "Ok-ed" to return- what is the process? If we have discussed the problem and I have agreed that I will take a custom piece back - return shipping with tracking and insurance will be paid by the buyer. Upon receiving the un-used item, a refund
Care instructions For all my wood products, please avoid heavy scrubbing and water play. A quick wipe down with a damp cloth and a small application of coconut oil will do the trick. As with any wood- it naturally can break. please use care and if something does need a repair- wood glue works miracles.
