Transform Grandma's/Mom's handwritten recipe into a cherished family treasure! These slate boards are a wonderful way to preserve that beloved family recipe that everyone holds dear. By quite literally “setting in stone”.
I will clean up an older handwritten recipe and laser engrave onto a slate cutting board for you.
These can be used as a display piece and the backside used as an actual cutting board.

ITEM DETAILS

• All natural slate boards are coated with a scratch resistant Food Safe Coating.
• Each piece varies slightly in shape and color, these are natural slate, so no two are identical.
• All of my engravings are on brand new pieces and done by me in my workshop.
• These boards make a great gift for birthdays, holidays, weddings, bridal showers, anniversaries, housewarming or just because!
• These are made to order and will take 3-5 business days for processing before being shipped.
• No dyes or stains are used - engraving is permanent and will not fade or wash out.
• Easy to maintain; wash with warm water and soap, towel dry and occasionally use conditioning oil to extend life and beauty. NOT dish washer safe.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

• After using your cutting board, hand wash it with soap and water and towel dry.
• I suggest not using bleach or other harsh chemicals on your slate as it can deteriorate any sealants that protect the stone.
• You may use a good quality mineral oil to maintain that polished look.
• NEVER place your cutting board in a dishwasher, or soak it in the sink.
• Please DO NOT cut on engraved side of board.
• Safe for food contact.

SUBMITTING YOUR RECIPE PHOTO

• Please make sure when taking a picture of your recipe that you take it straight overhead.
• If your recipe is slanted in the picture, it will be slanted on the cutting board.
• When Ordering- Please attach a picture of the recipe you would like engraved.
• All recipes must be sent in a high-resolution photo, scanned image.
• The writing on the recipe must be legible.
• If you have a back and front recipe, please take separate photos of both the front and back. Trying to get the same shoot distance.
• When I’m combining both pictures, the 2 photo sections will be combined one on top of the other to make 1 longer recipe. I will do my best to make it look natural.

WHAT TO DO IF THE RECIPE WRITING IS REALLY LIGHT??

• If you do not have a clear copy, I highly recommend you making a photo copy of the recipe and then trace/outline the writing by hand in a dark pen. You can then scan that recipe and send it to me.

• Lines in Recipe, Yes-show lines or No-Do Not show lines in recipe.
• Attach image/s to order.
• I will send a mock up photo for your approval before engraving!
• Please check and reply to your emails as to not delay the process.

GIFT NOTE & DIRECT SHIPPING TO RECIPIENT

• I am happy to add your personal message in the package, at Checkout, you will need to check the boxes “This is a Gift” and type in your message and don’t forget to include your name, otherwise the recipient may not know who it is from.
• If you are wanting me to send to the recipient, please use their shipping address and not yours.
• If ordering multiple items to be sent to multiple addresses, you will need to order each one separately so that the correct shipping address goes with the correct order.

SHIPMENT + DELIVERY

• Shipping speeds are ESTIMATES and do not include the time it takes to create your item.
• All domestic shipments are sent Priority Mail thru USPS and include delivery confirmation/tracking!
• Once the USPS picks up your package, my hands are tied, I have no control over how long it takes for delivery.
• During the holiday season or uncontrollable events please order earlier than what you think is appropriate.
